A prominent fixture along Quincy's busy Burgin Parkway, this four story facility wrapped up construction inside of 18 months of closing on the property, showcasing SSG's ability to work with local officials and the community to deliver a quality product to the neighborhood as quickly as possible.
Built on the last available empty lot along the busy Boston / Providence Turnpike, this three story light gauge steel building combines beautiful design elements to maximize square footage and visibility without imposing on the surrounding community.
Perhaps the largest and prominent facility to date, the Somerville facility flanks the master planned Assembly Row development. It's unmistakable murals are visible from the upper decks of this six story, structural steel marvel. The metal panel and brick facade have become a fixture and waypoint for I-93 commuters since it opened in mid 2013. Through extensive community involvement, the facility also included a local chain cafe, and a community room, with a small park and bike racks, as well as transparent displays to house local art.
This facility’s unique location on Route 99 allowed it to draw customers from both Boston's northern suburbs (due to its proximity to a commuter heavy rotary), as well as customers from Downtown Boston along the busy commuter road. Construction was a straightforward EIFS and Masonry design with the option to build out an ATM enclave on the corner.
With full visibility of the Massachusetts Turnpike, this parcel was the first facility built by SSG. The 100% Climate Control Facility was constructed out of block and metal, with masonry detailing and an EIFS finish. Extensive construction tested the mettle of the Construction wing as the demolition of existing building was a delicate undertaking. The building remains a landmark on the Massachusetts Turnpike.
Just south of Miami straddling both Olde and South Dixie Highways, the site was the largest by SSG to-date, offering more than 90,000 NRSF, an ATM Enclave, 1,735 SQFT for Retail, and additional secure RV/Boat parking.
Situated in the densely populated southern Miami just outside Coral Gables, this large facility was SSG's first undertaking in Florida. The five story building was constructed out of Post-Tensioned Concrete, and offered amenities like covered parking and an additional conference room.
Another fixture for many Massachusetts Commuters, this facility in Woburn is fully visible from I-95. Construction of this large parcel required removal of a massive ledge, done through demolition and a carefully coordinated rolling stop of both I-95 and I-93 during blasting. The parcel was developed into not only a large and prominent Self Storage facility, but also a Town Fair Tire.
Though the address is in Waltham, this parcel actually straddles the town lines of Waltham and neighboring Newton. Zoning and Permitting were no easy undertaking, having to coordinate approvals from two municipalities. The finished product is a gorgeous self storage facility that has the perfect balance of visibility, while maintaining a sense of scale with the residential neighborhood it calls home.
Located just outside Providence, this facility was built along a major feeder road for those commuters exiting I-95. The three story facility offers drive up units and a covered loading dock.
This six story facility's glass tower element is has incredible visibility from I-95, and it's location at street level at the Fairfield / Bridgeport line make it a gateway property to commuters at the surface road level. It's among the largest Class A facilities in the market, and a true Flagship store.
